Production Artist, Entry Level

Envision Technology Marketing Group, Inc., (ETMG) is a marketing services company providing services to many of the valley's largest high tech companies. These high tech companies outsource to ETMG, the production of their marketing materials, such as brochures, data sheets, and white papers—the basic set of customer facing documents that get posted to their websites.

ETMG is looking to expand its services to these companies, and needs help. ETMG is seeking part-time, contract, Layout Production Artists to work within our fast-paced, high tech, VIRTUAL marketing communications environment.

Here's what we require and what ETMG can do for you:

The MINIMUM qualifications needed for this position:

Experience

- You must have at least two years experience using Adobe CS InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Word.

- You need to be fully competent and comfortable with the above programs—there will be a test (for which you will not get paid).

- We will want to see your portfolio either online or sent as a PDF (don't send anything until we ask).

- You MUST be able to follow our clients established guidelines—we will give you the guidelines once we engage. Our clients have extremely detailed and exacting standards that you must follow—every single time.

Hardware and Software

Since you will be working remotely, you must have:

- Your own computer—2 years old or newer. We prefer Macs, OS 10.6+. Windows Vista or better works, too.

- Adobe CS5 and Microsoft Office (2007+).

- An email address.

- FTP software.

- Reliable high speed internet access.

- Telephone/cell phone.

- Instant messenger.

The Job Work-flow

- Projects come into the ETMG Traffic Manager.

- The Traffic Manager will send you an email (or text) with the particulars of the project (document type to be laid out, number of illustrations, number of pages, hours allocated for you to complete the project, and when we need the first draft back).

- You will respond immediately if you are able to commit to doing the project. If we don't hear from you in 30 minutes, the project will get offered/assigned to the next Production Artist.

- Once you say you can take the job, you will be given the project files to work on.

- We will expect the completed project back within 24 hours, sometimes more depending on the project. The Traffic Manager will let you know your time allowance.

- It will be expected that inside of your time allowance that you will review the project, get all questions answered, do the layout, quality check your final document, and return all files.
